The festivities will kick off with a launch party on Friday, April 29th from 8-11PM at The Java Project (252 Java St), a gallery and event space that curates experimental exhibitions for Brooklyn-based artists. There will be an outdoor reception, mural painting, installations, live music, dancing, Kettle Brand chips, craft beer by Greenpoint Beer & Ale, and Hungarian wine thanks to Palinkerie. On Saturday, April 30th and Sunday, May 1st, visitors will get an intimate look at over 300 artists and their work by glimpsing into their studio spaces. An official GOS Guide will be distributed in various locations throughout North Brooklyn and can also be picked up at any of the participating info hubs.
